Description: This is a series of classes designed as an introductory course in sewing. Students are introduced to the basics of sewing, as listed below. During the class, you will construct a kimono-style robe or top using a comercial pattern*. The pattern is included in the course fee.

Materials List:    

You will be provided with a materials list prior to the first class.  Among the items included in the list are a basic sewing kit and fabric requirements for the robe.

NOTE:  If you wish to bring your machine to class and you are not already familiar with it, please contact us in advance to make arrangements for a machine orientation lesson. You may want to consider attending the Totally New class for an in depth machine introduction.

 If you do bring your machine, please bring the manual and arrive at least 10 minutes early so that your machine can be set up prior to the start of the class.
