Why private when classes are offered?

Private lessons provide an excellent opportunity to learn or improve your sewing skills with customized lessons to suit your particular needs. The advantages of private lessons include:

• individualized attention – no need to wait while other student’s needs are addressed
• concentration on specific project or technique – customized for you, not following a pre-determined curriculum
• more relaxed learning environment – ability to confidently ask questions at any time

What kinds of private lessons are there?

• Project based:  pillows, curtains, garment making, tote bags, doll clothes, baby items…whatever you would like to make
• Technique based:  zippers, hemming, buttonholes, piping,…whatever skill you would like to master
• Equipment based:  sewing machines, sergers, coverstitch, …become more familiar and comfortable with the equipment

What do they cost?

Note: In order to schedule a private lesson longer than one hour in duration please update the "Quantity" field in the PayPal Shopping Cart (remember to click the 'Update cart' button after changing the quantity value) prior to completing the checkout process.

Private Package:  1 hour private lesson and 3 hours parlour time  - $65.00, a savings of $10.00.  Parlour time may be used at any time during normal Parlour hours.

How do I schedule a lesson?

Call or email specifying your needs, wants, desires, and time preferences.  We will provide a free consultation via email, phone, or in person during parlour time to better determine your objectives and allow us to provide a customized lesson plan based upon your requirements.

Cancellation Policy:

You may re-schedule up to 24 hours prior to your appointment.  Up to 2 re-schedules may be made at no charge; subsequent re-schedule requests for the same appointment will result in an additional $10.00 fee payable at the time of the lesson.
